Granny Smith Pattern - PDF

granny Smith     designed by Donna Higgins

a traditional crochet motif using a trendy color mix.  topped with a picot edging.  enjoy this complimentary pattern. 

sizing:  approximately 30" square before blocking.

yarn:  15 skeins weepaca  [50% fine washable merino / 50% baby alpaca; 95 yds / 86 m]  1 skein in 11 colors for center, 3 skeins for surround and 1 skein for outside trim. 

tools:  size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook (adjust hook size as necessary to obtain a square which lays flat)

Skills Recommended:  basic crochet, using color chart to achieve same results as image.

Become familiar with the abbreviations used in this pattern before you begin.

    yarn is wonderful but the pattern is just perfect for what i had in mind for a baby blanket; i don't crochet very much, rather i knit but had to make something that would resemble a blanket. often times the patterns are very small for babies but this can be as big as a perosn wants.

    I have yet to start on the afghan but plan to within the next two weeks. The pattern is well written and will be easy to follow. I greatly appreciate that you offered it for free.
